Empowering and Deaf Faith and Engagement

The Emmanuel Centre has gathered a range of current online resources to support Deaf catholics in their journey with God. We have also put together a selection of relevant research for hearing people who want to find out more about Deaf culture and how they can help support their parish to be a more welcoming, inclusive environment. Given the focus that the Emmanuel Centre has on supporting good mental health and wellbeing through a pastoral approach, many of the items found here can be used to develop workshop/seminar content similar to that found within Do Not Be Afraid. Awareness raising and education are two of the most powerful tools at our disposal to combat prejudice and exclusion.
